Visitor Guidelines

Holy Hill welcomes all who visit this sacred and beautiful space.

For the safety of all, please be aware of the following policies during your visit:

- Drones and drone photography is not permitted on the Holy Hill Grounds.
- Large group photography is not permitted on the Platform and in Churches and Chapels
- All dogs must be kept on a leash.
- Pets are not permitted on the Basilica Platform or inside any buildings.
- Bicycles are not permitted beyond the Gift Store building.
-Parking along Carmel Road is prohibited.

Holy Hill is a sacred place of prayer and worship. Out of reverence, we ask all visitors to dress modestly and to avoid clothing that would be inappropriate in a holy place.

Hours

The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary at Holy Hill is open for prayer from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The grounds close at 6:00 pm.

Monastery Office
Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED — Friars are available at the main entrance by the Gift Store for blessings 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Priest available for Blessings at Monastery Office
Monday – Friday: 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: A blessing of religious items will follow all the 11:00 a.m. daily Mass, Monday - Saturday. You may bring your items to Mass for this priestly blessing.

Tuesday – Friday: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Scenic Tower
Open: May – October (*weather permitting)
Sunday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 p.m. | Monday – Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Note: The tower closes for inclement weather such as rain, high winds and lightning, as well as during some services.

Closed: November - April
*Open until 5:30 p.m. the month of October Only

Holy Hill is located 7 miles south of Hartford; from Rte. 60 drive 4 miles south on Rte. 83; and east on Rte. 167 for three miles; entrance & sign on right.

We are 30 miles north of Milwaukee: I-94 to I-41 north; exit onto Rte. 167 west; drive west for six miles; entrance & sign on left.

We are 70 miles east of Madison: I-94, Rte. 83 north, Rte. 167 east for three miles; entrance & sign on right.

Holy Hill is 110 miles north of Chicago: I-94 north, I-894 west, I-41 north; exit onto Rte. 167 west; drive west for six miles; entrance & sign on left.
