Celebrating St. Thérèse of Lisieux at Holy Hill

The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill welcomed nearly 26,000 faithful who made the pilgrimage to venerate the first-class relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux from November 15-18, 2025.

Despite living a short life, St. Thérèse's spiritual influence is profound. She died of tuberculosis in 1897 at the age of 24, was canonized a saint in 1925, and declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997 as only one of four women saints to receive this honor. May 17 marks the hundredth year of her canonization.

This great saint promised that she would spend her heaven doing good on earth.  The visit of her relics was certainly an extraordinary event bringing many graces.
